Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who accesses the LegalBenchPower platform (the "Service"), including law firm/practice staff and their clients. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. You may not:
- Send a document generated by the Service to a client, credit provider, court, or tribunal without the review/authorisation step described in the Disclaimer having actually taken place.
- Enter personal information into the Service that you are not lawfully entitled to collect or process, or process it for any purpose other than the debt review matter it was collected for.
- Attempt to access another user's, another client's, or another practice's account, data, or documents without authorisation, including by guessing or brute-forcing credentials, or by using a signing link or token that was not addressed to you.
- Share your login credentials with another person, or use another person's credentials.
- Probe, scan, or test the Service's security, or attempt to bypass rate limiting, CSRF protection, or access controls, except under a written agreement with us authorising security testing.
- Upload malicious code, or any file designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service or any other user's device.
- Use automated means (scraping, bulk scripted requests) to extract data from the Service beyond the documented API endpoints and their intended use.
- Use the Service for any matter outside the National Credit Act debt review process it is designed for, or in a jurisdiction other than South Africa, without first confirming with us that this is a supported use.
- Use the Service in a way that infringes a third party's (including a debt review client's) privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent applicable law makes this restriction unenforceable.
We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of this policy, as described in the Terms of Service. Report a suspected violation or a security issue to [FILL IN: LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL in .env].
